Introduction

The objective of this project is to effectively demonstrate the Information Systems that are used at Preferred Care at Wall Rehab Facility by carrying out an in-depth study and analysis to recommend some actions that can lead to future improvements in their performances in the next few years.

Preferred Care at Wall located in Allenwood NJ, is a rehabilitation center whose goals are to enhance the recovery of short-term patients and provide quality care to long-term patients. This company offers a variety of services such as restorative care, orthopedic rehab, and cardiac recovery. Providing care 24/7, Preferred care aims to give the highest quality of support and recovery to their patients.

Taryn Mcnamara is the MIS manager that we will be interviewing. She studied at Ocean County Community College and has been the Subacute Unit Manager for the past 10 years. On the unit Taryn is responsible for overseeing 45 long-term residents and managing each section's nurses' station. Preferred Care uses PCC (Point Click Care) where Taryn inputs medical treatments, dietary plans, and physical therapy schedules daily for each one of the residents.
